Nov. 15th, the repertoire was performed by an experienced violinist Mr Che Hong Liu (劉哲宏) and a pianist Ms Ssu Yu Chen (陳思羽), in the hallway as known as Lennon Wall, on the first floor of the General building.

It was the moment of peak time after students were finishing their Tuesday morning session classes. The repertoire was given for an hour-long during lunch break, from 12:00 o’clock to 13:00 o’clock. Students and passersby enjoyed their lunchboxes and relaxed with the melody of professional musicians after stressful and drowsy morning classes.

The College of Social Science staff also provided lunch boxes to those who registered before the repertoire began. Soon after the school belling rang, many students and professors occupied chairs, some sat on the staircase, and some chose to stand for indulging of the melody. Some passersby were struck by the mellow melody and could not resist stopping by.

The musicians conducted nine music pieces from several well-known composers; including American composer Scott Joplin: Elite Syncopations, Austrian American composer Fritz Kreisler: Liebesfreud, Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky: Waltz of the flowers, American composer John William: Schindler's list theme.

The list of music pieces also consists of Polish composer: Henry Wieniawski, German composer Johann Sebastian Bach: Chaconne BMV1004, Italian composer Ennio Moriconne: Love theme from Cinema Paradiso, American composer Irvine Berline: White Christmas (Arr. J.Heifetz), Italian composer Vittorio Monti: Csárdás.

Moreover, the violinist also gave the special solo-performance to the audiences with the piece of work from a French composer Claude Debussy: Clair de Lune, as requested from the audience. Thereafter, Professor Chung-Min Tsai, associate dean of social sciences, was giving warm appreciation to the musicians.

Mr. Liu has a BA in Music from the Cologne University in Germany and Master degree from the Eastman School of Music in the United States. Ms. Chen has a Master degree in Piano Performance from Taipei National University of the Arts.
