National Chengchi University (NCCU) was founded in 1927, and for more than 9 decades of re-formation and development, we have been upholding our motto, “Harmony, Independence, Balance and Preeminence”, We continue to refine our teaching methods and research in order to nurture talents for our country and the world.

NCCU currently comprises 12 colleges specializing in the Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce, Communication, Foreign Languages, Law, Science, International Affairs, Education, Innovation, Informatics, and the X Experimental College, alongside the College of Global Banking and Finance. Within these academic pillars, there are 36 departments, 24 graduate institutes, and 28 degree programs, totaling 88 academic units (including 8 English-taught programs). In terms of degree levels, NCCU offers 49 undergraduate programs, 63 master's programs, 15 on-the-job master's programs, and 44 doctoral programs.

In terms of research excellence, NCCU hosts several prominent university-level research centers, including the Institute of International Relations, the Election Study Center, the Center for Sustainable Innovative Democracy, the Center for Creativity and Innovation Studies, the Taiwan Studies Center, the Humanities Research Center, the Center for Mind, Brain and Learning, the Center for Aboriginal Studies, the Center for the Study of Chinese Religions, the Center for AI Interdisciplinary Research, the Chinese Culture Metaverse Research Center, the Center for Corporate Sustainability Management, and the Center for Information Security Technology. Additionally, NCCU maintains a comprehensive educational system from pre-school to the doctoral level through its affiliated institutions, including a high school, an experimental elementary school, and a kindergarten.
