【Article by GCIT】
The Master’s Program in Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT) at National Chengchi University hosted an industry–academia exchange luncheon on February 5, bringing together program faculty, administrative staff, enrolled students, and industry partners. The event facilitated dialogue on course-based practical applications and models of industry collaboration, laying the groundwork for the next phase of teaching and partnership development.
The exchange focused on strengthening the alignment between curriculum design and industry needs, addressing challenges encountered in student project execution, exploring real-world industry technology applications, and discussing internship and collaboration planning. Through face-to-face discussions, participants shared insights on enhancing the integration of academic instruction and industry practice. The consensus reached during the event will serve as an important reference for future curriculum refinement and collaboration initiatives.
Prince Lin, General Manager of Forevertek Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to share industry perspectives. He noted that Forevertek will support GCIT’s course requirements by providing technical instruction, studio-based practical teaching, and on-site support for new media production. These efforts aim to strengthen students’ hands-on skills and project development experience, further realizing the practical outcomes of industry–academia collaboration.
The luncheon was also attended by several international students, who actively shared their perspectives and engaged in discussion with industry representatives. During the event, Trisha Lin, Distinguished Professor and Director of GCIT, presented students with symbolic red envelopes containing GCIT-branded stationery and peace charms, creating a festive atmosphere and offering international students an opportunity to experience Taiwanese cultural traditions. This cultural exchange added a cross-cultural dimension to the professional dialogue.
By integrating academic discussion, industry practice, and cross-cultural interaction, GCIT continues to advance a practice-oriented teaching approach and deepen long-term partnerships with industry, laying a solid foundation for cultivating communication and innovation technology professionals with global perspectives and strong practical capabilities.
