😷 在COVID-19疫情爆發前的數十年間,全球對青少年心理健康困境的關注逐漸升高。尋求心理治療的學生人數逐年增加,高中與大學也相應擴充資源以應對需求。疫情後,憂鬱與自殺的比例顯著上升,但多數高等教育機構的回應方式仍以治療為主,而非採取預防性、整體性的正向健康促進策略。我們能否重新檢視並改變各層級教育體系中的互動模式?如果教育的目的不是工作、累積財富、爭奪有限資源,而是促進福祉與人性會是怎樣的畫面?
 

本場互動式工作坊將帶領大家自我反思,評估整體政大,尤其是創新國際學院(ICI),是否實踐了2015年發起之《奧卡那根健康促進大學憲章》(Okanagan Charter)所提倡的核心理念。目前已有全球超過300所大學採納該憲章原則。

😷In the decades leading up to the COVID pandemic, there was growing awareness of adolescent mental health struggles around the globe. The number of students seeking mental health treatment increased and the number of resources offered in high schools and college increased to meet the demand. Depression and suicide rates spiked following the pandemic, but colleges and universities have responded with more treatment options rather than preventive, holistic approaches to positive well-being. What if we identified and changed the dynamics of schooling at all levels? What if the purpose of education was wellness and humanity rather than working, acquiring wealth, and competing for limited resources?
 

This interactive workshop provides an opportunity to audit ourselves and determine the extent to which NCCU generally and ICI specifically adheres to principles outlined in the Okanagan Charter, founded in 2015. Over 300 universities have adopted the principles of the charter.
 

📢In preparation for engagement in the workshop, please review the charter and bring some examples of assignments, readings, activities that promote wellness and identify areas for improvement in your classes, ICI, and the university.
