AACSB seminars hosted at NCCUC inspires over 25 universities across Asia

The College of Commerce proudly announces the successful conclusion of its recent seminars: the “CIR: Transitioning to the 2020 Standards Seminar” and the “Strategic Planning Seminar”. The seminars were held by the AACSB, the global accrediting body and membership association for business schools, and hosted by the College of Commerce, National Chengchi University, on March 18th and 19th, 2024. During the opening ceremony, the Executive Vice President of National Chengchi University (NCCU) and Chairman of the Taiwan Association of Business Schools (TABS), Professor Wei-Chi Tsai, came in representation of National Chengchi University; the Dean of the College of Commerce, Professor Jia-Chi Huang, and the Associate Dean for International Affairs, Professor Yenn-Ru Chen, came in representation of the College of Commerce.

The seminars had the honor of hosting two esteemed facilitators Dr. Geoff Perry, the Executive Vice President and Chief Officer for Asia Pacific, and Director Christine Be, the Director of the Office of Accreditation and Assessment at the College of Commerce, National Chengchi University. Throughout the seminars, 79 attendees from diverse schools and countries had the opportunity to engage with the speakers who shared their expertise on the intricacies of the accreditation standards and processes, with a focus on the strategies for enhancing the continuous improvement process and building a functional and agile strategic plan.

In addition to the enlightening sessions, attendees also had the chance to network with peers, exchange ideas, and forge valuable connections that will continue to benefit them in their accreditation process and professional endeavors. The seminar featured an enriching program of keynote presentations, interactive brainstorming, and panel discussions, all aimed at equipping participants with the tools and insights needed to excel in their roles as educators and leaders.
