On September 3rd, NCCU international students arriving from around the world lined up at the NCCU General Building for the One-Stop Registration.

NCCU Office of International Cooperation (OIC) staff were on hand to guide the first-year students through registration requirements including verifying their academic records from home, applying for National Health Insurance, and processing their student IDs. Staff also assisted selected students in applying for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and obtaining a local SIM card.

By integrating these five processes into a single “one-stop” service window, the OIC turned what could have been a series of long and potentially frustrating experiences into a single hour of straight-forward processing. OIC staff and volunteers fluency in English helped make the entire procedure easy and seamless.

With all their paperwork out of the way, the students walked next door to the Bursar’s Office to settle their outstanding tuition payments, easily concluding all administrative tasks and freeing students up to focus on their studies.
