NCCU Job Fair: Future Career Events, Workshop, One-on-One Employment Meetings

With the NCCU Job Fair having just come to an end, the Office of the International Cooperation (OIC) had cooperated with Career Development Center to make the event more international student-friendly on March 23. While over 90 companies and organizations came to the Fair, both offices jointly identified those specifically interested in hiring international students. Overall, this year international students were noticeably more engaged in conversations with the representatives of the companies, signifying a step further towards internationalization.
BenQ Group representative Eddie Kuo, excitedly reported to have received more than 30 applications from international students during the fair. This Taiwanese multi-national company offered positions such as Digital Content Marketers for students with language proficiencies in French, German, Russian, or English.
Lion Travel Group Recruiting Supervisor Robert Lee also passionately introduced the company’s two-month internship program. Apart from receiving thorough training throughout the 8-week internship, Mr. Lee highlighted that successful interns would have the opportunity to receive permanent employment and could be dispatched to one of the company’s 14 branches in thrilling international cities, such as Tokyo, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Sydney, or Shanghai.
Apart from the NCCU Job Fair, students may also leverage the so-called One-on-One Employment Meetings organized by Contact Taiwan in four major cities across the island, namely, Taipei, Hsinchu, Tainan, and Kaohsiung. While getting in contact with the respective companies, it may also important to know the employment regulations for foreign workers in Taiwan. The OIC, as part of their Career Placement Initiative, will thus organize a workshop on this specific topic on May 28, inviting speaker from the Workforce Development Agency to our campus.
