【Construction Notice】Phase One Busway Replacement Project in the College of Commerce Building

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,


To enhance electrical safety in the College of Commerce Building, National Chengchi University will undertake the Busway Replacement Project from B1 to the 12th floor. Phase One, involving the removal of existing busways, is about to begin.
During construction, certain areas will experience loud noise, dust, and temporary parking restrictions. Faculty, staff, and students are kindly requested to comply with the relevant control measures to ensure safety.

I. Construction Schedule and Scope: (1) August 7, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 12th to 9th floors. (2) August 8, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 8th to 6th floors. (3) August 9, 2026: Dismantling busways from the 5th to 1st floors.

II. Construction Impact and Precautions: During the construction period, significant noise and dust will be generated around pipe chases and adjacent areas from B1 to the 12th floor, with potential risks of falling objects. Please stay clear of the work areas for your safety, and follow all on-site access controls and instructions from staff.

III. Parking Control: Parking spaces No. 18, 19, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35 in the basement parking lot of the College of Commerce Building will be temporarily unavailable from August 11 to August 18, 2026. Vehicle owners are requested to move their vehicles out of the restricted area before August 11, 2026.

IV. Advance Notice for Subsequent Phases: (1) Phase Two (Installation of New Busways): Tentatively scheduled for late September 2026. Specific dates and control measures will be announced separately. (2) Phase Three (Power Outage and Electrical Reconnection): Tentatively scheduled during the National Day holiday from October 9 to October 11, 2026. A power outage will be required, and detailed outage times and affected areas will be announced separately.
