Speaker: Emily Wu
Emily Wu is the founder and executive producer of Ghost Island Media, established in 2019 to explore social, cultural, and environmental issues through multilingual podcasts, amplifying Taiwan’s voice internationally. Her programs have been nominated for and won multiple awards including the KKBOX Podcast Awards. Emily also works as a media consultant and speaker, focusing on narrative innovation and digital audio content development. She graduated from Wellesley College (USA) and has experience working in journalism and production in New York and Taipei.

Learn how to craft impactful audio stories for news, brands, or NGOs! This workshop explores innovative audio cases from global media and brands, and demonstrates how to leverage the unique features of podcasts and radio to create engaging content. Participants will learn creative strategies for successful audio production and engage in idea generation and proposal sharing. After the session, participants will have a guided visit to Voice of NCCU radio station to see broadcasting in action!

This workshop will teach how to prepare and conduct a compelling podcast or radio interview. We will analyze top industry interviewers’ techniques and help you formulate questions that elicit great stories. Practical advice on pre-interview strategy, essential equipment, and studio etiquette will also be provided. Gain confidence and skills to build genuine connections with your interviewees, whether for broadcasts, personal podcasts, or class storytelling assignments.
