Soon after becoming the first Taiwanese to receive the "Outstanding International Accounting Educator Award" of the American Accounting Association (AAA), International Accounting Section (IAS) last year, Anne Wu, Chair Professor of the School of Business at National Chengchi University, has received another good news this year. She was awarded the American Accounting Association (AAA)’s 20th "Lifetime Contribution to Management Accounting Award", which is not only the first in Taiwan, but also the first scholar in Asia to receive this honor. Looking back in the past, most of these two awards were awarded to the scholars in famous American universities, such as Harvard, Stanford etc. The fact that Chair Professor Wu was able to win both awards at the same time surprised accounting scholars all over the world. In addition, among accounting scholars in the world, only two scholars have won these two honors at the same time—Professor Chee Chow, the enlightenment mentor of Professor Wu's management accounting research, and Professor Wu, which is incredible.

Although Vice President Lai was not present, he still sent a congratulatory message to thank Professor Anne Wu for her long-term dedication to management accounting, and affirmed her outstanding achievements in leading forward-looking thinking and promoting international exchanges and cooperation. Political Deputy Minister of Education, Mon-Chi Lio, congratulated in person and praised Professor Anne Wu for winning two international awards in a row. In addition, he also thanked the National Chengchi University for establishing the College of Global Banking and Finance, and looked forward to Professor Anne Wu leading the Industry-Academia Cooperation and assisting the Ministry of Education in promoting more policies.

"This is really a day worth celebrating." President Ming-Cheng Kuo praised Professor Anne Wu's international achievements in his speech, echoing the slogan of this year's National Chengchi University's celebration, "crème de la crème, 95 years of glory and fame!", which is truly the pride of Taiwan. In addition, President Kuo emphasized that the most difficult thing in education is to turning knowledge into a driving force in society, and " This is exactly what Professor Wu has done." He hoped that Professor Anne Wu will lead more Industry-Academia Cooperation in the future to bring more contributions to the society and the university. Ting-Wong Cheng, the former president of National Chengchi University and a well-known accounting scholar, also came to deliver a speech, congratulating Professor Anne Wu for her well-deserved award, and recalling the past moments of serving the school together. The spirit of complete devotion is truly admirable; he affirmed that "Indigo blue is extracted from the indigo plant, but is bluer than the plant it comes from", and won the warm applause of the guests present.

"Let's embrace hope and create Taiwan's second economic miracle together!" Professor Anne Wu expressed her gratitude to the guests present in her speech. She humbly said that this award represents everyone's honor in the world, and thank so much for all the support and encouragement along the way. Professor Anne Wu emphasized that she will repay her gratitude to the country, teachers, students and enterprises in the future definitely. She hopes that in the future, the world will see Taiwan's power and attract more people abroad to study Activity Value Management (AVM) at National Chengchi University, and tell the greatness of Taiwan to the world.
