NCCU’s 91st anniversary creative cheerleading competition was held in two days. Departments of Public Finance and Accounting both tried the whole bag of tricks to win the championship. The Department of Accounting won the championship and creative theme award, while the Department of Public Finance was runner-up.

The first day of the competition was held indoor at the gymnasium. The starting Department of Public Finance showed great group cohesiveness. As for the students who weren’t cheerleaders were uneasy to be just spectators, they cheered enthusiastically and expected the vibrant performances would bring the audience full energy and leave good memories. Students in the Department saw that their performance was perfect and were happy that the “four generations,” from freshmen to seniors, actively participated and passed on the spirit.

The Department of Accounting also brought fascinating performances with rich and exquisite props, which moved the old fashion hair salon to the stage. From time to time, their storyline was interspersed with hilarious movements, dynamic and flawless. Towards the end of the performance, they pulled out a red banner, on which written this year’s anniversary theme: “persistent cultivation and efforts lead to fruitful success in the end” to celebrate NCCU’s 91st anniversary. The representative of the accounting cheerleading team believed the hair salon is a place of joy and hoped to spread the pleasant atmosphere.

The fixed-point competition was held at the track and field on the second day for a whole long hour. Both teams showed endless creativity and enthusiasm during the competition. They even cheered up and encouraged the runners on the track.

Creative Cheerleading competition used to be one of the mostly popular events participated by freshmen and sophomores but not so in recent years. The Department of Public Finance treasured this tradition by asking students of years to join the competition and have fun altogether. With their uniform outfits, various props, sweats, and passion, the performance was highlighted under the scorching sun.

With the theme of old fashion hair salon, the cheerleading squad of Accounting is meticulously dressed with exaggerated wigs, shiny outfits, and dancing the funny and energetic Rockettes. While cheering for the players on the field, the team also got themselves into this wonderful and pleasant time.
