Faculty Recruitment Announcement: Department of European Languages and Cultures invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in German.

1. Position Available: One full-time faculty position in German at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The successful applicant is expected to begin employment on August 1, 2027.
2. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. 
3. Specializations: Candidates with expertise in language pedagogy, the culture and/or literature of German-speaking countries or regions, or interdisciplinary fields integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with translation and language education are encouraged to apply. Applicants with teaching experience and/or a teaching certificate will be given preference.
4. Required Application Documents : For the application checklist, please refer to Attachment 1. Applicants are required to submit a hard copy of the Faculty Recruitment Application Form and all required application documents by mail. Electronic copies of all application materials must also be provided on a USB flash drive and enclosed with the mailed documents.

(6)    Two letters of recommendation, dated within the past two years
(7)    Course syllabi for three courses at CEFR B1 level
(8)    A Copy of the teacher’s certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan, R.O.C. (if applicable)

5. Deadline: All application materials must be postmarked no later than January  6, 2027. Application materials will not be returned.
