Faculty Recruitment Announcement for the 2027 Academic Year
In response to the rapid development of GeoAI, Earth Observation, spatial data science, and urban and environmental governance, and in support of national space technology policy, climate change adaptation, and intelligent spatial governance, the Department of Land Economics at National Chengchi University is strengthening its teaching and research in spatial information, artificial intelligence, urban and environmental spatial analysis, and land governance. We invite applications from qualified scholars with relevant expertise and strong development potential.
We are seeking one full-time faculty member in a spatial information-related field. Candidates should have expertise in at least one of the following areas: GeoAI, spatial data science, or dynamic analysis of urban and environmental space and its impacts. A strong record of interdisciplinary research and teaching is expected.
Position level: Assistant Professor or above
Requirement: PhD degree required
The appointee will teach three undergraduate courses each academic year, with possible topics including: 1) GeoAI for Spatial Data Science, 2) Computational Methods for GeoAI, 3) Urban-Environmental Spatial Analysis, and 4) Climate Risk, Resilience, and Spatial Governance. At least one course per year must be taught in English.
In addition, the appointee will teach one graduate-level course each academic year, with possible topics including Climate Risk Analysis, Spatial Analysis for Sustainable Urban Development, GeoAI Applications, or a related specialized subject. This graduate course must be taught in English.

Applicants who pass the first-stage review will be invited to an interview. During the interview, candidates will be asked to present their research achievements and teaching plans.
Applicants whose highest degree was obtained overseas should submit the verified diploma and doctoral transcript authenticated by the relevant overseas mission to the department one week before the interview.
