Full-Time Research Assistant Position

Professor Eunae Cho’s research team at National Chengchi University is seeking a full-time research assistant to support ongoing research projects in organizational behavior and occupational health psychology. The research team examines topics such as employee well-being, work stress and recovery, work–life balance, and related issues in employees’ work and nonwork lives. One major responsibility of this position will be to support a planned research project that involves online survey data collection with couples expecting their first child. The research assistant will also support other research projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Support research project operations, including project planning, survey creation and administration, data collection, progress tracking, documentation, and administrative coordination.
  2. Assist with ethics review and IRB application-related tasks, including preparing application materials, organizing study documents, tracking submission progress, and maintaining required records.
  3. Support a planned data collection project involving couples expecting their first child, including participant recruitment and management, eligibility screening, participant communication, survey administration, progress tracking, and retention management.
  4. Coordinate with recruitment sites, collaborators, and community partners as needed to support participant recruitment and data collection.
  5. Conduct literature reviews and synthesize academic research articles.
  6. Assist with data management and statistical analysis, including data cleaning, coding, descriptive analyses, reliability analyses, and preparation of analysis-ready datasets.
  7. Support the preparation of research outputs, including manuscripts, conference submissions, reports, presentations, and research documentation.
  8. Perform other research-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, management, organizational behavior, human resource management, public health, sociology, statistics, education, or a related field.
  2. Research skills: Basic understanding of research methods and statistics. Prior experience with survey research, longitudinal data, diary studies, organizational research, couple/family research, participant recruitment, or IRB/ethics review procedures is preferred.
  3. Software skills: Experience with Qualtrics and crowdsourcing data collection platforms, such as Prolific or CloudResearch, is preferred. Experience with SPSS, R, Mplus, Stata, Jamovi, or other statistical/survey software is preferred.
  4. Language skills: Ability to communicate in Mandarin. Ability to read and summarize academic articles in English. Strong English writing skills are preferred.
  5. Personal qualities: Detail-oriented, responsible, organized, willing to learn, able to work independently, and comfortable communicating with research participants and collaborators.

Position Details and Compensation

  1. Start date: August 1, 2026 or later
  2. Appointment period: Must be able to commit to at least two years, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding and performance.
  3. Work location: National Chengchi University campus; remote or hybrid work is possible. The position may involve local travel to recruit participants and meet with collaborators as needed.
  4. Salary and benefits: Salary and benefits will be determined in accordance with the guidelines of the National Science and Technology Council and will depend on educational background and relevant experience (a minimum of NTD36,300 per month for the Bachelor’s level; a minimum of NTD41,500 per month for the Master’s level).
