With the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence (AI), global industrial structures and business models are undergoing profound transformation, and marketing as well as brand management are entering a new phase of redefinition. Master’s Program in Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT) at National Chengchi University (NCCU) recently hosted a professional advising session, inviting Sharon Wu, Singapore SMEbig AI Branding, Managing Director, to share her professional journey from traditional public relations to AI marketing technology. Drawing from frontline industry experience, she provided insights into how AI is reshaping brand strategy and corporate competitiveness.

Sharon Wu noted that as AI tools become more widespread, marketing is shifting from outsourcing to in-house integration and centralized data management. She emphasized: “True competitiveness lies in building proprietary AI brand systems and maintaining data control.” Through “Brand OS” and “BrandBase,” companies can streamline marketing processes, improve efficiency, and overcome fragmented tools and data gaps to accelerate growth.

During the interactive session, one of the GCIT students shared their previous experience working in PR agencies and asked Wu about the key motivations and turning points behind her decision to start her own business. In response, Sharon Wu explained that her career spanning roles in the Ministry of Education, think tanks, international PR agencies, and e-commerce platforms allowed her to develop a deep understanding of industry transformation, ultimately leading her to pursue entrepreneurship in AI marketing technology. She emphasized that entrepreneurship is not driven by a single idea, but by long-term observation of industry trends and sustained execution.

At the end of the event, Sharon Wu also introduced AI marketing tools and standardized workflow systems developed by her team, encouraging students to engage early with real-world industry practices. She noted that future talent is defined not only by technical proficiency but also by the ability to integrate industry thinking and transform AI into a tool for problem-solving and value creation.
