In 104 Job Bank’s recently published “2026 University Brand Power Rankings,” National Chengchi University (NCCU) stood out among over 120 universities and colleges nationwide to rank among the nation’s top ten universities. NCCU was the only humanities and social sciences university to receive this distinction.  Across twelve areas of assessment criteria, NCCU maintained its first place rank for “International Competitiveness" for its third consecutive year, and ranked second place for “Executive Leadership.” These awards confirm that NCCU possesses formidable branding appeal and influence in the domains of business, finance, social sciences, and communications, solidifying its position as a top-tier benchmark in the humanities and social sciences.

Under the criteria of “International Competitiveness,” NCCU was especially impressive, and secured its first place rank across the nation for its third consecutive year. NCCU has maintained a longstanding commitment to cultivating socially engaged professionals  possessing international perspectives. Owing to the strengths of the College of Commerce and the College of Foreign Languages, NCCU ranks first nationwide in foreign full-time faculty, international degrees partnerships, and percentages of students completing foreign exchanges abroad. NCCU boasts the largest number of international degree programs in Taiwan, and leads the nation in campus internationalization.

Within the “Executive Leadership” criteria, which measures the long-term performance of alumni careers, NCCU earned second place in the nation. According to 104 Job Bank’s statistics, NCCU graduates and alumni are deeply embedded in finance, commerce, law, and government professional fields. On average, out of every 10,000 alumni, 59.4 hold senior executive positions. These alumni possess strong cross-disciplinary networks and leadership strength in operational management and capital funds decision making at publicly listed companies, displaying formidable alumni influence.

Among 18 academic areas, NCCU ranked top three nationally across seven groups: “Mass Communications”, “Literature, History, and Philosophy”, “Foreign Languages”, “Law and Government", “Social Psychology”, “Finance”, and “Business Administration.” These rankings demonstrate NCCU’s top position in professional academic fields. Executive Vice-President Wen-Chi Tsai highlighted that NCCU’s win in the “Social and Psychological Sciences Academic Group,” stems from its deep academic heritage and precise response to contemporary social needs.

Established in 1957, NCCU’s Department of Psychology is one of the longest established departments of psychology in Taiwan’s history. It is also one of the earliest to form a complete academic program in psychology; and for a long time has played a key role in psychology research and talent development. The Department of Psychology not only has a strong foundation, but also maintains cross-disciplinary integration and addresses key issues in psychological health, organizational resilience, and social-emotional wellbeing.

The results from the 104 Job Bank’s 2026 University Brand Power Rankings displayed that NCCU has maintained its position as a prominent and top-tier ranking humanities and social sciences university. This year, NCCU excelled in multiple key indicators. In the era of AI and digital evolution, NCCU not only cultivates talent with data literacy and systemic thinking, but also devotes itself to nurturing future leaders who truly understand humans and society. Through deepening its practice of humanities-led technological development, interdisciplinary learning, digital governance, and AI applications, NCCU cultivates a new generation of talent that has humanistic concern, critical thought, and innovative action. Overall, these awards display how NCCU’s core values of global dialogue, mutual development, and practicing social responsibility have been continuously upheld for 100 years.
