Taipei - December 17, the International Master’s Program in International Communication Studies (IMICS) at National Chengchi University hosted its year-end gathering. The event brought together the program’s faculty members and students from around the world, in alignment with the program’s goal to promote a supportive, cross-cultural learning environment.

The gathering served as a warm moment of reflection on a productive semester for the IMICS program’s students. The event opened with remarks from the program Director, Prof I-Huei Cheng (鄭怡卉). She congratulated students on their perseverance and academic accomplishments, while expressing sincere appreciation to the faculty for their dedication to this pioneer communication program fully delivered in English.

“I believe you are constantly growing and maturing in this program,” Cheng shared. “I wish you continued success and hope you will keep thriving in the journey ahead.”

The rich cultural diversity at the heart of the program was showcased in the event, where IMICS students sang their mother language’s songs in Mandarin, Vietnamese and Thai. Among the inclusive activities, students also participated in an interactive quiz game that challenged students with questions ranging from general social knowledge to specialized academic concepts.

The event reinforced a sense of international community at the IMICS program while offering students opportunities to connect with each other before the winter break. Students expressed an enthusiasm to return to the program in the spring and continue their journey toward becoming the next generation of global media leaders.
