On 01 November 2025, the NCCU IMBA program hosted its highly anticipated annual Information Session, welcoming a vibrant group of local students eager to explore the transformative opportunities offered by the program.

The session was officially opened by IMBA Director, Professor Jason Tsai, who highlighted the program’s unique strengths. “Our faculty is composed of internationally recognized professors and senior executives from leading global corporations,” he shared. “Many also teach in the EMBA program, enriching their pedagogy with real-world insights and cross-sector expertise.”

He further emphasized that one of the defining strengths of the NCCU IMBA program is its exceptional international diversity and global partnerships. This unique network enables students to gain worldwide exposure while staying closely connected to the academic excellence of NCCU. The program collaborates with top-ranked universities across the globe; boasting over 60 exchange partners and 8 dual degree institutions, all consistently ranked among the world’s top 100. These partnerships provide IMBA students with unparalleled access to international academic networks. The curriculum itself reflects this global outlook, blending Eastern and Western intellectual traditions and offering specialized tracks in Management in Asia, High-Tech Innovation, and Sustainability.

Beyond academics, the IMBA experience is both dynamic and immersive. Students actively participate in events organized by the Student Council, including the annual IMBA Sports Day and Dragon Boat Racing, where IMBA and EMBA students’ team up to celebrate camaraderie and cultural diversity. These activities foster a healthy balance between academic rigor and social engagement, while strengthening peer networks across cohorts. Inside the classroom, learning is driven by case studies and experiential methods led by professors who are industry experts. The curriculum is further enriched through company visits and on-site guest speaker presentations, offering students practical insights and real-world exposure.

Recognizing the diverse professional backgrounds of its student body, the IMBA program offers flexible class schedules, weekday evenings and weekend sessions, to accommodate working professionals. With a thriving alumni network of over 700 graduates across more than 60 countries, the program continues to cultivate global connections and lifelong relationships.

The session featured seven speakers for experience sharing, including alumni and current students who shared their personal journeys:
Daniel Kwok, alumnus from Class of 2021, Director of Access AP Taiwan, emphasized how the IMBA equipped him with essential business acumen, especially in finance and management, complementing his technical background in computer science. He praised the program’s diversity, English instruction, and exchange opportunities citing his exchange semester at NUS as “eye-opening.” He encouraged the upcoming IMBA students to apply to this program to enjoy long-lasting friendships and networks and to grow in their professional spheres.

Albert Chen, Class of 2024, reflected on his decision to follow in his mother’s footsteps, an IMBA alumna from 2005. Inspired by her enduring friendships and professional growth, Albert pursued the IMBA degree and later dual degree program at Mannheim Business School in Germany, where he enrolled in Masters in Management which earned him a Dean’s List honor.

Ludnear Augustin, a senior IMBA student from Haiti, echoed the reflections shared by alumni, highlighting how the program has empowered her to step beyond her comfort zone. Through her IMBA journey, she has gained international exposure, developed valuable skills, and built meaningful networks, opportunities she believes would have been out of reach had she remained in her home country. As she looks ahead to her graduation in summer 2026, Ludnear is confident that the insights and connections she’s cultivated will shape her future path. She captured her experience in a single phrase: “Business meets culture, adventure, and global learning.”

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, allowing prospective students to connect directly with alumni and deepen their understanding of the IMBA journey.
The IMBA program remains committed to its mission: to develop future leaders for a global society.
