The annual Halloween celebration at the International College of Innovation (ICI) made a thrilling return this year! Co-organized by ICI and the ICI House student team, the “ICI Halloween Party 2025” took place on the evening of October 31 on the 3rd floor of the International Building. With a creative blend of immersive storytelling and interactive entertainment, the event offered students an unforgettable night of chills, laughter, and festive fun.

This year’s main event, “A Taste of Home🩸,” featured an immersive horror mystery combined with elements of escape-room gameplay. Participants took on the role of a young girl investigating the mysterious deaths of her friend and parents from years past. The suspenseful plot, paired with interactive puzzles and atmospheric settings, kept players on edge throughout the evening—some even shrieking in surprise as the story unfolded with unexpected twists.

In addition to the main mystery game, the event featured a variety of Halloween carnival games and the crowd-favorite Just Dance competition. The carnival segment included singing challenges, the Pose Game—a test of teamwork and coordination—and the lively Charades game, filling the room with laughter and excitement. The finale, a high-energy Just Dance showdown, brought the night to its peak as students showcased their moves, enthusiasm, and team spirit.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, two professional makeup artists were invited to help students complete their Halloween looks on-site, allowing everyone to fully immerse themselves in the celebration. Participants also enjoyed delicious snacks and drinks while mingling and connecting with friends in a relaxed setting.

The event organizer, Casper, a third-year student at the International College of Innovation (ICI), shared his thoughts on planning the Halloween Party.

“It was such fun planning the event, especially with the murder mystery. We spent weeks thinking of a storyline, prepping the props, and rehearsing. It was all very worth the while though. Everyone was so devoted to the mystery itself, and we—the staff—actually managed to scare the souls out of people, even those who joined a House event for the first time,” said Casper.
He added that the event perfectly connected first-year students with upperclassmen and even students from other departments, expressing hope that “this lively atmosphere can continue in every ICI event from now on.”

The event encouraged students to express their creativity through individual or group costumes, fostering a sense of community and cultural exchange. Beyond the fun and games, the ICI Halloween Party served as a platform for students from around the world to bond, celebrate together, and experience the spirit of Halloween in Taiwan.

The International College of Innovation hopes that through such events, students continue to cultivate creativity, collaboration, and cultural appreciation—making ICI not only a place for learning, but also a place full of shared memories and joyful experiences.
