Daily takeout and on-campus dining are generating a significant amount of single-use food container waste. While NCCU continues to promote sustainability, the campus still lacks a comprehensive reusable container system, and innovative waste reduction solutions are urgently needed.

To harness the creativity and initiative of faculty, staff, and students, the Office of Sustainability is hosting the “NCCU Campus Food Container Waste Reduction Competition.” We are looking for innovative, feasible, and implementable proposals to reduce waste. Winning teams will not only receive cash prizes but may also see their ideas put into practice on campus, contributing to a greener dining environment at NCCU.

【Eligibility】
All NCCU faculty, staff, and students
Teams of 2–5 members are encouraged, and cross-departmental participation is welcome

【Competition Timeline】
Registration & Proposal Submission: Now until Nov 10 (Mon), 17:00
Announcement of Preliminary Review Results: Nov 14 (Fri) on the NCCU Sustainability website
Final Presentation & Judging: Nov 20 (Thu)
Announcement of Winners: To be notified

3rd Place | NT$6,000
Honorable Mention | NT$4,000

Selected proposals may have the opportunity to be piloted and promoted on campus!
