A 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the eastern coast of Taiwan on April 3rd, marking the strongest earthquake in 25 years and prompting tsunami warnings for the island and southern Japan. The safety of our campus is our utmost priority. There may be aftershocks occurring over the next couple of days, and we urge everyone to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.

#Safety Measures

Drop, Cover, and Hold On: If you're indoors, drop to the ground, take cover under a sturdy piece of furniture (such as a table or desk), and hold on until the shaking stops.

Please be aware of potential aftershocks and avoid approaching high-rise buildings or mountainous areas.

Refrain from using elevators if another earthquake happens.

Be familiar with the emergency exits and evacuation routes in your home, workplace, or any other buildings you frequent.

If you smell gas or suspect a gas leak, turn off the gas supply immediately and open windows to ventilate the area.

Stay informed and follow guidance from local authorities.

In Case of Emergency: Dial 119 from any phone to connect with an emergency dispatcher (English support available).
