National Chengchi University, September 13th, 2023 (12:00 p.m.) – The primary objective of this seminar was to showcase the unique benefits of IMICS, a program renowned for its fully English-taught courses, and to foster cultural exchange opportunities amongst local students. To ensure accessibility for those unable to attend in person, IMICS facilitated live streaming of the entire seminar on their official Facebook page.

The discussion commenced with Dr. Tammy Jih-Hsuan Lin, the program director, providing a comprehensive introduction to IMICS, elucidating its distinctive features, distinguished faculty, and meticulously crafted curriculum. Dr. Tsung-Jen Shih, a professor from the College of Communication, shared his invaluable teaching experiences within IMICS, offering insights into the scholarships available through the program.

The seminar further highlighted the contributions of Adjunct Assistant Professor Dr Meng-Chieh Jacie Yang, who shared her first experience guiding digital content marketing on social media within IMICS. Dr. Yang also presented the excellent works of students in the course.

Lastly, the seminar featured two current students, Irene and Hayle, who took the stage to articulate their motivations for choosing NCCU Taiwan as their study destination and enrolling in the IMICS program.

The seminar concluded seamlessly, having successfully captivated a diverse audience, including students from institutions such as Shih Hsin University. The IMICS program hopes to continue attracting interest from local students during the upcoming application period, which begins in October and November 2023.


IMICS, established in 2006, concentrates on enhancing students' research and practical abilities in media studies, cross-cultural communication, and other communication-related topics. This program offers a platform for international and local students to share their observations and experiences, contributing to the diversity of National Chengchi University and improving its global reputation.
