A job handover ceremony of the university’s supervisors was held on August 1st, 2019, in the NCCU Research and Innovation-Incubation Center. NCCU President Ming-Cheng Kuo(郭明政) welcomed new division heads while offering gratitude towards the ones recently resigned from their posts.

It is the first time for Kuo to preside the ceremony ever since he took office as president of the NCCU last year. "I am not only a revolutionist but also a crazy president,” Kuo said during the event. He encouraged the NCCU to cultivate young minds that will make great contributions to Taiwan and to the world.

Li-Hsin Kuo(郭力昕), former president of NCCU’s Office of Research and Development, gave a speech on behalf of resigning supervisors and expressed his gratitude. In the speech he said that the administrative position has made him more humble and well-rounded than before.

Yen-Chiu Tu(涂豔秋), stepping down as head of the Chinese Literature Department, thanked President Kuo for giving her the opportunity to take great responsibility to promote Chinese studies and Mandarin Chinese. She also told the audience that faculty and students from Hiroshima University, Japan, will visit the NCCU to study
Chinese in September this year.

Rachel Yao-Chueh Juan(阮若缺), NCCU’s new Dean of College of Foreign Languages and Literature, pointed out that the college will continue to provide more double-major and specialty programs. Lai-Jier Her(何賴傑), new Dean of the College of Law, said that since the college has been a great attraction to students from other disciplines, they plan to provide more courses and programs so more students are able to learn about the law.
