While it is changing every day, Taiwan’s and China’s international relation professors decided to talk about China’s diplomatic and domestic issues at National Chengchi University (NCCU) on June 6 and June 7.
“This forum features China’s issues from its diplomatic and domestic aspects, which are pretty complicated but worth thinking,” said Chiu Kun-shuan (邱坤玄), professor of Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies at NCCU.
Kou Chien-wen (寇健文), professor of Department of Political Science at NCCU, said that China should take the lead in those recent issues that concerned the South China Sea issue.
Liu Debin (劉德斌), dean of School of International and Public Affairs at Jilin University , said that many Chinese people believed that China has no reason to claim its sovereignty in the area, so they prefer to settle the disputes and cooperate with Taiwan.
In the meantime, Zhong Yang (鍾楊), dean of School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, said that China is also experiencing demographic, environmental, economic and political problems.
