NCCU Cooperates with FinEx Asia to Initiate “Fintech Head-Start Program”

Cooperating with FinEX Asia, NCCU FinTech Research Center (FTRC) officially initiated the “Fintech Head-Start Program” on September 15 in Singapore Management University. The program will offer the chosen students internship opportunities in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Silicon Valley. According to NCCU FinTech Research Center, in order to benefit Taiwan’s FinTech industry, it will work on more Industry-university collaboration projects with FinEX Asia.
In response to the demands of personnel training, NCCU founded FTRC last November, which actively executed various Industry-university collaboration projects and trained people of ability. Rua-huan Tsaih and Ming-hua Hsieh, Vice Chairmen of FTRC at NCCU, headed for Singapore Management University on September 15 to sign a MOU with FinEX Asia, Dianrong. com, AMTD Group, L.R. Capital, Upgrade, Singapore Management University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, announcing the official start of the Fintech Head-Start Program.
On behalf of NCCU, Rua-huan Tsaih emphasized that with the cooperation with FinEx, NCCU expects to bring the cutting-edge skills and techniques into Taiwan. Apart from founding FTRC, NCCU has offered EMBA Fintech courses and Fintech programs in both MA and BA level, providing Taiwan with the best educational resources. In the future, NCCU will have more collaboration with FinEX in the hope of benefitting Taiwan’s development of Fintech industry and generating more innovative financial services and products of high quality.
According to Maggie Ng, Founder and CEO of FinEX Asia, experts with cultural awareness and professional knowledge are rare. She hopes to train personnel for Fintech industry through this program, and welcomes fresh ideas brought by the people of ability. As Ng pointed out, providing valuable internship opportunities through this program, FinEX Asia also devotes itself to expanding it personnel reservation in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, aiming at cultivating young Fintech faculty.
The internship application is due on January 31, 2018. Application documents will be reviewed by CEOs of FinEX Asia, Dianrong. com, Upgrade and NCCU FTRC. Six to eight students will be granted internship opportunities to work in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, or Hong Kong. Students with outstanding performances will be provided with full-time jobs in FinEX Asia or Dianrong, com.
