    2nd Zhongni Prize goes to Chair Prof. Chen Fangming for His Enlightening Society

    After rigorous procedures, the 2nd Zhongni Prize in 2017 was won by Chair Professor Chen Fang-ming (陳芳明) from the Graduate Institute of Taiwan Literature. By combining reading, writing, research and instruction, Prof Chen not only transmits knowledge, provides for study and dispels confusion during the class, but achieves widespread impact outside the campus and influence contemporary intellectuals. The 2nd Zhongni Prize will be held at the Sun Moon Auditorium, on the 2nd floor of the Art and Culture Center in NCCU on November 30, 2017 at 3:30 pm.. Chair Prof. Chen will give the acceptance speech. Teachers and students are kindly welcome to the ceremony.

  • The staff of Partner School Fair happily took a photo with exchange students to celebrate the success of the event

    Encourage students to go out of comfort zone and experience foreign culture, NCCUC held Partner School Fair

    Flags from different countries were hung in the lobby of College of Commerce. Blue decoration painted with world map and famous landmark. Office of International Programs (OIP) held Partner School Fair on November 4. Exchange students from 18 countries, 42 universities attended and introduced their schools and cultures. The exposition attracted hundreds of people and was extremely crowded.

    NCCU Griffins Basketball is now Recruiting New Players

    The draft selection of NCCU Men’s Division I Varsity, also known as the NCCU Griffins (政大雄鷹), has been kicked off. All students interested in playing basketball, whether domestically or internationally, are welcomed to enroll in the selection, which is set to take place within three weeks after the autumn semester begins. The varsity will compete in the next season’s UBA Division II tournament from this December, competing for the championship.

    NCCU Go Beyond Borders: International College Takes Off in a Year

    The fourth forum of the Consensus Conference on School Development discussed plans concerning building international visibility of NCCU. According to Prof. Chun-i Chen(陳純一), the international college will be founded in August 2018 and contribute to NCCU’s globalization. This is to provide professors from different nations a bilingual academic environment and encourage them to stay in Taiwan, said Present Edward Chow(周行一).

    Nobel Laureate Economist Robert Shiller Giving Speech at NCCU

    Robert J. Shiller, the 2013 Nobel Prize Laureate in Economic Sciences and professor at Yale University, gave a speech at National Chengchi University on July 12. A great number of audience, including professors, students and financial professionals were attracted to the conference hall. Celebrating the 90th anniversary, President Chow (周行一) said it is a great honor to have Prof. Shiller come to NCCU for the series of events, as this is his only lecture on campus during his stay. Chow also regarded Prof. Shiller’s academic accomplishment as the model for NCCU’s future aim of focusing on inter-discipline .

    105th Graduation Ceremony Highlighted by Encouraging Speeches

    The 105th Graduation Ceremony was held on June 10. There were more than 3,000 graduates from 33 departments this year. Three distinguished guests, Wang Li-sing (王力行), Wang Jhih-hong (王智弘), and Wang Wun-hua (王文華), were also invited to share their experiences in learning, career and dreams.

    NCCU Sports Day: Game Results & Highlights

    Faculties and students joined series of events on May 19 NCCU Sports Day enthusiastically. Following the tug of war in the morning, fun races and track and field games took place in the afternoon. Retired personnel also participated in the activities and had a wonderful experience.

    NCCU Men’s Basketball Division 1 Varsity “雄鷹" combated the Pauian Archiland Basketball Team, Male and Female Basketball team on May 19 during the Sports Day. Audience were also invited to participate in the three on three bullfights.

    ​Marching Bands Gave Tremendous Performance at NCCU Sports Day despite Rainy and Overcast Weather

    NCCU Sports Day of the 90th anniversary took place on May 19. Despite the rainy weather, enthusiasm of all faculties, students and alumni wasn’t dampened. President Chow (周行一) stated that, “It is the effort made by faculties and students that makes NCCU 90th anniversary important and meaningful.” Marching bands of Taipei Municipal Jingmei Girls' High School (JMGSH) and the Republic of China Navy (ROCN) were invited to play at the inauguration ceremony, kicking off the Sports Day with their tremendous performances.
